Apparently nuclear power plants have the same carbon footprint (in terms not only of manufacturing, but also in terms of fuel enrichment) as wind turbines, and cause the least deaths per petawatt hour of energy produced out of any energy source in the world.

People are always too quick to jump to conclusions, and granted there are other statistics that should be taken into consideration when searching for the optimal power source, but overall it’s looking pretty good for nuclear power, at least in my eyes.
